RESERVATION, DEALS, CHOPE-DOLLARS & REDEMPTION - OVERVIEW

All reservations made till the last date of the year will be accounted for, with your new membership tier and earn rate reflected on the following year.

If you've made reservations on 29, 30 and 31 December, and are short of a few reservations to climb up a tier, your new membership tier and earn rate will not be reflected on 1 January.

Your new membership tier and earn rate will only be updated on 1, 2 or 3 January depending on when you make your reservations, following the 72-hour window for reservations to be successfully recorded as fulfilled.

If you've made reservations on 1, 2 or 3 January before your new membership tier and earn rate is reflected, you will be earning Chope-Dollars based on your old membership tier.

For 2021 specifically, in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, we maintained all membership tiers from 2020. As such, your 2021 membership tier will be the same as your 2020 membership tier.

Yes! You are rewarded with Chope-Dollars exclusively when you sign in to your Chope account and make a reservation on the Chope app or via www.chope.co!

Earn Chope-Dollars when you make reservations via www.chope.co or the Chope App! You have to be signed-in to your Chope account at the point of reservation to receive Chope-Dollars. Redeem Chope-Dollars for dining and other lifestyle rewards from your Chope app!

Yes. Chope-Dollars expire according to the dates they're earned. All Chope-Dollars earned from January 2020 onwards, will be valid for one year. (E.g: Chope-Dollars issued within January 2020 will expire on 31 January 2021.) You may view a summary table of your Chope-Dollars and their corresponding expiry dates here, or in your 'Profile' tab in the Chope app by tapping on 'Chope-Dollars Balance'.

No. To get awarded Chope-Dollars, you must be signed in to your Chope account when you make a reservation.

Yes. But you're encouraged to create and account and sign in to receive those awesome Chope-Dollars. You have to be signed-in to your Chope account at the point of reservation to receive Chope-Dollars.

Yes, and we encourage you to do so! Each Chope user has a unique referral link which can be found in the their profile within the Chope app. Click on "Refer New Diner, Earn $" to share your referral link with friends and family. Do note that referrals are only successful once referees sign up for a new Chope account.

New diners (referees) will receive additional 200 Chope-Dollars from signing up via the referral link when the first reservation has been fulfilled. Reservations must be made via the Chope app or www.chope.co and Chope-Dollars will be credited within 72 hours from the date of dining.

The referrer will receive 300 Chope-Dollars after the referee has successfully completed his/her first reservation via the Chope app or www.chope.co.

Chope audits all reservations and reserves the right to suspend any Chope account if we detect atypical fraudulent behaviour.

RESERVATION

You would have received a Reservation Confirmation email. Follow the link to edit or cancel your reservation. Alternatively, you can edit or cancel your reservations from the Chope app as well. If you have installed the Chope App, your reservations should also be consolidated within your profile.

Generally you can cancel your reservation 24-48 hours prior to your scheduled reservation. We highly recommend you to check the restaurant’s terms and conditions.

Restaurants who have signed up for this feature will be able to trigger a call/SMS to your mobile phone. This call/SMS serves as a reminder for an upcoming reservation at the restaurant. Kindly follow the instructions in the call or sms for acknowledgement.

Yes, you may and you will still earn Chope-Dollars as long as you are logged into your registered Chope account!

Yes, you may but the subsequent reservations have to be more than 1 hour apart from the previous reservation.

Definitely! Upon arrival, please let the restaurant know the name the reservation was made under.

Each restaurant on Chope submits their agreed online quota to Chope. This online quota dictates how many diners will be allowed to make a reservation via Chope. Once the online quota is reached, Chope’s online reservation for the restaurant will be automatically closed. The online quota may not be reflective of the restaurant’s actual total seating capacity. In situations like this, we would recommend to contact the restaurant directly to make the reservation.

Chope offers 24/7 online reservation services. We do not provide reservation services via phone calls, emails, text, Facebook messenger, etc.

Yes, you can! Chope is available in the following cities, Bali, Jakarta, Bangkok, Phuket, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Singapore. You will earn Chope-Dollars for making reservations in the different cities. However, for Shanghai, please create a separate Chope account.

Chope provides restaurant solutions such as reservation, deals, queues, order, and delivery management. Not all restaurants listed on Chope sign up to every solution we provide — thus you might find that some restaurants do not have a reservation function. However, while not all our restaurants are available for bookings, some offer dining deals, pre-order, takeaway, and delivery services on Chope. We are continuously working on adding more inventory of restaurants for such transactions to provide you with a more seamless reservations experience.

Not all restaurants listed on Chope are reservable. In order to make a reservation, you may wish to contact the restaurant directly with the contact details we have listed out in their restaurant page on Chope.

Currently, if you are on the Tripadvisor site, you would not be able to identify if you can make a reservation for that particularly restaurant on Chope. The best way to book a Chope restaurant would be come to our platform directly, whether through app or web.

  • You'll receive an email after you attend your reservation. Click on the star rating to open the review form, which will be valid for 7 days from the date you receive the email.
  • You can also find entrances on our Homepage and links to the review form under 'Past Reservations' on the 'My Reservations' page on the Chope app or website.
  • The feature is currently in Beta Mode and currently does not allow any edits or deletion.

  • Include details about the restaurant's food, service, atmosphere, and overall experience. Mention specific dishes you enjoyed or any outstanding staff members.
  • By including these elements in your review on Chope, you can help other users make informed decisions about where to dine and contribute to a thriving restaurant review community on the platform.
  • Your reviews will be viewed by restaurants who will be able to contact you for further feedback and service recovery.
  • On Chope’s platform, we will be displaying the aggregated ratings and recommended dishes voted by you which will help other diner’s like yourself make informed decisions. As the feature is currently in Beta Mode, we are also working towards having text reviews displayed. Keep your eyes peeled!
  • Restaurant ratings on Chope are calculated based on the average of all user ratings.

    We will calculate ratings from valid reservations that have been attended. Diners who had canceled or did not attend their reservations are not able to leave ratings.

    You can review a restaurant within 7 days of receiving the email. You are not able to review restaurants from your past reservation history prior to that.

    CHOPE-DOLLARS & REDEMPTION

    Chope-Dollars will appear in your Chope account within 72 hours from the dining date.

    Chope-Dollars are only awarded when reservations fulfil the following criteria:

    • Reservations were made via the Chope website or app.
    • Diners must be logged into their Chope account when the reservation is made.
    • Diners must attend the reservation.

    In the event restaurants dispute diners' attendance, the diner may be required to provide proof of dining in the form of a time and date-stamped receipt. Should neither parties be able to verify the genuinity of the reservation, Chope will make the final call for the reinstation of the reservation.

    All inquiries regarding rewarding of Chope-Dollars must be submitted via email to our customer support team within 14 days from the reservation date in order to be considered for a review by Chope. To expedite the process, please attach a proof of dining (i.e. receipts) in the email.

    Chope-Dollars are only awarded when reservations fulfil the following criteria:

    • Reservations were made via the Chope website or app.
    • Diners must be logged into their Chope account when the reservation is made.
    • Diners must attend the reservation.

    The value of Chope-Dollars earned for each reservation will be stated when you make your reservation via the Chope website or app. This can alternatively be referenced in your reservation confirmation email.

    Chope reserves the right to deduct any Chope-Dollars that might have been credited to your account for bookings that also involved discounts, deals and rewards from other platforms and portals.

    Redemption is easy! Simply:

    1. Download the Chope app here.
    2. Under the Profile tab, select “View Rewards” and scroll down to view all rewards. Tap to redeem your preferred reward and it will be emailed to you instantly.

    Chope-Dollars issued for reservations made in Singapore, Hong Kong, Jakarta, Bali, Phuket and Bangkok can be redeemed for rewards in any of these cities.

    Chope-Dollars issued for reservations in Shanghai and Beijing can be redeemed for rewards in either of the cities.

    CREDIT CARD / RESERVATION DEPOSITS

    Deposits are requested by restaurants to discourage no-show or late cancellation of reservations.

    Restaurants differ in their deposit policy and may require a deposit for set menus, bookings of larger groups, for specific days or times each week or for occasions such as Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve.

    You will be prompted during the reservations process to place a deposit should the restaurant’s policy require it.

    Depending on the restaurant’s cancellation policy, you may be charged a penalty if you cancel your reservation. It is thus important to understand a restaurant’s cancellation policy that is stated during the reservations process.

    Your deposit will only be partially or fully retained in the event of a no-show or late cancellation as per the restaurant’s defined cancellation policy.

    A credit card authorisation hold is the practice of verifying electronic transactions initiated with a debit card or credit card and rendering this balance as unavailable for one to use until the ‘Hold’ has expired. The card is not charged for any amount at the time of initiating a credit card authorisation hold. The holding period may last up to 30 days.

    Depending on the deposit transaction mode — the way in which your restaurant handles deposits will defer.

    If the deposit amount was charged on your credit card i.e. you see it in your credit card statement, the restaurant can either take the equivalent amount off your dining bill or they can refund the amount back to your credit card. The latter will take up to 30 days.

    If the deposit amount was held on your card i.e. you do not see any charges on your credit card statement, the authorisation hold will be released once you fulfil your reservation. No refund will be done as your credit card was not charged.

    Chope facilitates the integration of secure payment gateways to restaurant accounts to take deposits. We do not hold any credit card details pertaining to deposits and are not able to process refunds on behalf of restaurants.
